2. Search for Dial-Up Networking Icon.
If there is a Dial-Up Networking Icon, proceed to step #4.
3. If there is no Dial-Up Networking Icon:
[ ] Go to Start->Settings->Control Panel
[ ] Select Add/Remove Programs
[ ] Select the Windows Setup Tab
[ ] Select the Communicatons Option
[ ] Select the Dial-Up Networking Box (make sure there is a check mark beside the icon)
[ ] Select OK
[ ] Select OK
[ ] Windows95 will prompt you for your Windows95 Disk.
[ ] Follow the Windows95 Dial-Up Networking Procedures.
4. Go to Start->Settings->Control Panel
[ ] Select the Network Icon
[ ] Highlight the Dial-Up Networking Adapter
[ ] Select the Add Button
[ ] Select Protocol
[ ] Select Add
[ ] Select Microsoft (from Manufacturers Box)
[ ] Select TCP/IP (from Network Protocol Box)
[ ] Select OK (you will be brought back to the Network Window)
[ ] Select TCP/IP protocol under the Dial-Up Adapter selection
[ ] Select Properties
[ ] Under DNS Configuration, select DNS Enable
[ ] Enter a name for your computer under Host
[ ] Enter artsci.net under Domain
[ ] Enter 206.171.253.66 under DNS Server
[ ] Select Add
[ ] Select OK at the bottom of the TCP/IP Window
[ ] Select OK at the bottom of the Network Window
[ ] You will be prompted to restart your computer; select Yes
5. After Windows95 reboots:
[ ] Go to My Computer
[ ] Select Dial-Up Networking Icon
[ ] Select Make New Connection
[ ] Enter the name artsci.net
[ ] Choose Next
[ ] Enter your area code under Area Code
[ ] Enter artsci.net's local access number 238-2320
[ ] Select Finish
6. Left click on artsci.net connection
[ ] Enter your login name under User Name
(Use lowercase only on login & password)
[ ] Enter your password under Password
7. Select Connect to dial artsci.net
[ ] Enter your login name and password at the screen prompts
